Luscious Lava Lava workshops will be scheduled upon requests only.  It can be arranged for PRIVATE workshop, or if you are interested, KIV your name with us and you get priority notification when we set a date for the KIV list.

Description: Call it simply ~ Macaron is an elegantly divine French almond cookie.  An ever luxurious and popular petit four,  Macarons calls for simple ingredients in egg white, almond powder and sugar. It is such wonders to see them puffed up with tiny feets (or call them ruffles or skirting) round the shell.  And yet, baking these cookies at home remains a daunting task to some home-bakers.  

Macaron WorkshopCrisp shells with chewy centre - enjoy them plain, or dab a little jam or peanut butter, or enclose a thick layer of flavoured buttercream or tasty chocolate ganache.  Oh! I love mine with cream cheese too!

In 2011, we hosted Bom BomTM workshops for close to 300 persons during Christmas, Lunar New Year, Valentines Day, school hols, as well as corporate workshops to very good reviews.  We shall kick start 2012 Addictive Bom Bom workshops for Valentine's day. ~Sweet~!

UPDATED:  For Private Session, minimum of 7 pals.  Other than mixer dough, groups of 3-4 participants will share and hand knead a full recipe.

Description: Master the technique of making fluffy breads and buns.  Have them piping hot from the oven, have them sweet or savory, have them however you fancy.

Bread making therapy is one of the most satisfying forms of baking.  Knead, slap, roll, shape and pat it…add a little cuddle. Huff & puff to the joyous laughter of great company.  Experience fresh-from-the-oven aroma.  Savour!  Need I say more.

Do not have a Bread Machine?  Do not have a powerful Mixer? 
Do not let that put you off making fluffy buns and enjoy home-made goodness with your loved ones.  We teach you to mix the dough by hand too.  

Join us for a total sensory experience.

Learn:
Knead and shape to present different looks
Mix the dough by machine and by hand
Prepare the ingredients, including French pastry cream

Demo:
Water-roux mixture
Vanilla pastry cream (fresh from the pods)

You bring home:
5 fluffy home-baked creation (usually double!)
1 container of home-cooked jam
1 recipe of water-roux to make more fluffy bread immediately for your loved ones

We emphasize on Techniques and Outcomes ~

Both Mixer-knead and Individual Hand-knead will be taught @Uptown Sweets! (who says you need a special machine)
